GYNECOMASTIA
Gynecomastia is a problem of breast enlargement in men. Plastic surgery is also a common condition. It begins in adolescence and continues into adulthood. Sometimes irritatingly, the breast can also be sensitive. In general, these people are uncomfortable with the size of the breast.
There are 2 types of gynecomastia.
Primary gynecomastia – Secondary gynecomastia
- The primary is the most common type. With puberty, there is an increase in breast tissue. There is no underlying cause. Other secondary gynecomastia also has an underlying cause. Such as obesity, hormonal disorder, steroid use. If the underlying cause is treated, surgery is not required.
- In surgery, a small incision is usually made near the nipple, excess tissue is removed and lipasuction is applied to other areas. In recent years, very good results have been obtained only with laser liposuction without incision. Patients return to their activities in 5-7 days.
